What is "Get in the Show"?
Get in the Show is a nationwide audition-based search that will give the winner the chance to perform live with Adventures in Odyssey actors on board the Focus on the Family 40th Anniversary Cruise November 13-17, 2017.

Where can I get the official contest rules?
You can download them here.

Who is eligible to audition?
Boys and girls who are U.S. residents and between 6 and 15 years of age during the audition period are eligible to enter the contest.

I live in Canada. Why can't I enter the contest?
The country of Canada and each Canadian province have different rules for contests than the United States. Though many of our contests are open to Canadian fans, this one is not, unfortunately.

What is required for entry into the contest?
Entry submissions must include a video recording of the entrant reading the designated script. Entries must be uploaded to the official Get in the Show audition submission page during the audition period on June 1-16, 2017.

When will the script be available?
Scripts are available now! Download them here.

When and where can I record my script?
Recordings can be made at a location of your choosing (such as at home), or at participating retail store.

How do I record my audition at the participating retail store? Will they have a camera there?
Bring your own camera (along with your script) to the participating retail store. There will be a place to record your audition at the participating retail store. Then, take your camera home and upload the video to the website from home.

Will I have to bring a partner to read with at the participating retail store?
Yes. Your partner can be any age or either gender. We would suggest a family member, parent or friend.

Do I have to live in Colorado to record my entry?
No.

If I'm a finalist, do I have to travel by myself?
No. Each finalist will also bring one parent or guardian with them to the finale audition event on August 12, 2017.

How about if I'm the winner? What then?
All travel expenses will be paid for the winner of the contest plus 3 family members (one must be a parent/guardian) to fly to Florida and board the Focus on the Family 40th Anniversary Cruise. Passports are not required, but encouraged. The winner will be responsible for optional activities and shopping expenses.

If I win, will I become a permanent character on Adventures in Odyssey?
There are no current plans to make the new character an on-going role.

My brother or sister is eligible to enter. Can we both enter? Can he or she be my partner?
Yes and yes. Both of you can submit entries, but make sure to record them separately with each of you reading the lines of the contestant in a different video. Group entries aren't allowed. We would suggest recording the two scripts with one person as the contestant and then switching to record with the other person being the contestant.
