Description:
George is trying to talk to Donna as she is getting ready for a party. As usual, George walks into Donna's room without knocking and is met with shrieks and howls of protest, Donna isn't dressed yet. George is confused by this turn of events and asks Mary about it. Mary tells him that Donna is getting older. From now on, George will have to expect this sort of behavior. George reluctantly agrees. Just then, Donna comes downstairs wearing a new, revealing dress. George absolutely forbids Donna to go out like that, but Donna says all the girls are wearing dresses like this. Finally, Mary strikes a compromise: Donna can wear the dress as long as she also keeps on the coat that came with it. Donna reluctantly agrees and heads off to the party. Once there, she grumbles and complains to Jack Davis that her parents aren't fair. Donna is standing there sweating in a coat, while everyone else is wearing what they want. She finally gets so upset, she removes her coat. Immediately, she gets reactions from the guys at the party. Donna likes those reactions, until she learns throughout the next week at school that her reputation as a nice girl is suffering. Suddenly, rumors are spreading that Donna is not as pure as she lets people think. Shannon even nearly challenges her to a fight, she thinks Donna is using her slinky little dresses to steal Shannon's boyfriend. Finally, Donna realizes that things may have gone too far, and that modesty is the best policy after all.

Questions:
Why didn't George want Donna to go out the way she was dressed? How much do you think your modesty (or lack of it) determines your reputation? Why is it so important to be modest? How does God feel about it?
