Description:
Whit is home from the hospital, recuperating from his ordeal with the death program in the Imagination Station. Or, trying to recuperate. Everyone in Odyssey has Whit's best interests at heart, and they keep coming over to his house to make sure he is resting. First, Connie and Eugene try to help, and they pamper him, too much. Then, Eugene refuses to let anyone, even Tom, visit Whit. This forces Tom to climb a tree and go in through Whit's bedroom window. Whit is happy to see Tom, until Tom insists on reading to Whit. Meanwhile, Sam discovers that Whit's End is closed. Dissatisfied with the explanation, he wants to find out why the emporium is really shut down. So Sam allows Harlow Doyle to impose his aid and help find the answer. Eventually, everyone but Sam ends up in Whit's room, causing all sorts of commotion. Dr. Morton enters and tries to get everyone to leave, causing even more uproar. But, in the ruckus, Whit slips out unnoticed. He finds Sam (who is sitting out in front of the house), and the two of them go where John Avery can get some rest, to Whit's End.

Questions:
Why was everyone so intent on helping Whit? Why is it important to visit the sick and bedridden? What's the best way to help someone who's sick? Explain.
