Description:
Courtney is a young ballerina with a brilliant future. But on the eve of her big tryout for the state ballet company, she steps off a curb at the wrong time and walks right into the path of an oncoming car. Her knee is badly damaged. Though she will walk again, all her hopes of having a career as a ballerina are gone forever. Courtney refuses to believe it at first, but she is finally forced to admit that painful truth. As a result, she stops caring about everything, her friendships, her family, even God.
Whit convinces Courtney to take a trip in the Room of Consequence to see how tragic her life will be if she turns completely from God. Courtney finally understands that just because one gift was taken from her doesn't mean her life is over, it is far better to be placed in God's hands.
Questions:
Was it wrong for Courtney to keep hoping she could still perform ballet after her accident? Explain. Courtney said that God would heal her knee "if He loves me". Was she right? Why or why not? What does Romans 8:28 mean in saying that "God can work all things for good"?
