Description:
The gang at Whit’s End presents a Kid’s Radio version of John Bunyan’s "Pilgrim’s Progress." It’s the story of young Christian (played by Sam Johnson) and his journey to the Celestial City. Along the way, Christian encounters various people who serve as obstacles to his quest: Mr. Worldly Wise (played by Eugene), Ms. Busywork (played by Connie), Giant Despair (played by Bart Rathbone), and Apollyon, son of the devil (played by, believe it or not, Whit!). It’s a funny, touching, and reverent program, showing the allegorical path a believer must often take to reach heaven.
Questions:
Why did Christian want to reach the Celestial City? What is an allegory? “Pilgrim’s Progress” is the second best-selling book of all time. What’s the first?
