Description:
Love is in the air around Odyssey. First of all, Jason is working at the counter at Whit’s End when the front door opens. In walks an old friend, Tasha Forbes! At the same time, Eugene has shaved off his measly mustache, anticipating the arrival of his sweetheart, Katrina. The two of them have been corresponding since she left for Chicago. Unfortunately, when Katrina arrives, she walks in on Eugene and Connie in the middle of an innocent hug. (Connie is trying to show Eugene what an “it’s-good-to-see-you” hug feels like.) Eugene blows Katrina’s lack of a reaction out of proportion. He stumbles all over the place to convince her that there is nothing between Connie and himself. Katrina tells Eugene to call her later and leaves. Meanwhile, Tasha and Jason are visiting the Connelsville Zoo. Their conversation turns to their relationship and their feelings for each other. They both express their mutual love, and Jason takes things a step further: He asks Tasha to marry him! While this is going on, Eugene and Katrina meet at their favorite restaurant for an intimate conversation. Eugene wants to know where the two of them stand. Katrina says she doesn’t know and doesn’t want to decide the question right now. Eugene continues to probe and uncovers his worst fear: Katrina is dating another guy! The story continues in part II...

Questions:
Jack said he felt that Connie was missing something in her life. Why did he say that? Connie and Eugene got into an argument after Eugene blurted out something about Connie? Was it okay for Connie to be mad at Eugene? Why or why not?
