Description:
Aubrey and Seth are trying out for a play together. After noticing that Aubrey was talking to Sheila, Seth approaches Aubrey to ask what they talked about. Aubrey explains it was just an ordinary conversation and Seth starts to tell her that every conversation should be about God. He says that the only reason he's trying out for the play is to join Nick's group. Seth tells Aubrey he’ll teach her how to witness. Aubrey comes to Seth’s house for the first "lesson." She wants to learn how to better share her faith, but she doesn’t want to lie to try to join a person’s circle of friends. Seth says it’s only a small lie and that he would do anything to bring people to Christ. He bases his logic on the Christian book, "All Things to All People." Aubrey decides to give Seth’s philosophy a try. She takes Liz to the batting cages so they can act like baseball players. Seth assigned Nick to her to tell about Christ. So, being as jock-like as they can, they approach Nick. Unfortunately, they don’t know what to say and annoy him in the process. After several attempts, it still doesn’t work. Whit explains to Aubrey that it’s better to be herself and to show people who Jesus is and how he connects with who we are. She then comes out and tells Nick what she was trying to tell him all along. He’s not interested. While Aubrey is disappointed, Whit helps her to understand that when you tell someone about Christ, people won’t always make a leap of faith. But, God can use her words to soften someone’s heart. She realizes this is true when she goes to visit Seth and talks to his mom. She tells his mom that she’s a Christian and his mom is so interested in what that’s all about. She starts asking lots of questions. Aubrey asks if she’s ever talked to Seth about being a Christian and she responds by saying he’s not the spiritual-type and he won’t talk to her about anything. Aubrey comes to realize that letting people genuinely know who she is, is the best way to share about who God is in her life. She encourages Seth to just be himself.

Questions:
Why was Seth trying out for the school play? What was Seth's philosophy for sharing Christ with others? What do you think was wrong with his method? Aubrey was able to share about God with Seth's mom. Have you ever had the opportunity to share your faith in God with a friend? What did you do?
