Eugene Meltsner
Eugene is Whit’s dependable, eccentric genius of an assistant. Whether he’s manning the ice cream parlor at Whit’s End, studying at Campbell College or at the controls of Whit’s latest techno-contraption, Eugene seems to know everything there is to know about history, geography, biology, physics, computer science and . . . well, the list goes on and on, and so does Eugene. He and his co-worker, Connie Kendall, get into numerous, often humorous, disagreements. The only thing his superior intelligence can’t fully figure out is women!
